          Admission Requirements

The Graduate Admissions page in the SFU Calendar outlines all requirements for admission to SFU's graduate programs.

A key part of your graduate experience is your relationship with your supervisor. Please see our advice on how to find a supervisor for your research.

          Supporting Documents

Your unofficial transcripts and other supporting documents should be uploaded to your online checklist following payment of your appplication fee. Instructions will be sent to you via email.

When you submit your application, your referees will be automatically emailed and sent instructions for providing a reference online.

English language test scores, where required, are sent to us electronically, directly from the testing agency. Unless specifically requested, you do not need to provide copies.

Official transcripts should be sent to SFU directly from the institutions that you attended.

See list of all SFU graduate programs.

          Conditional or Qualifying Admission

Some applicants may be admitted as qualifying or conditional students.

See Student Status for more details.
